After my first DIY Home Repairs class I knew that it would be essential learning for anyone who lives on their own or uses a sink, toilet, or light switch on a regular basis (basically all of us). Growing up with a father who was a contractor I had a basic knowledge of home repair, but this class took me by surprise.
In each class you learn step by step how to save yourself money on maintenance and repairs by doing them yourself. After our 2nd class I personally ran into a little trouble of my own at home. One of our sink drains decided to break and because of the instruction in this class I was able to go to my local hardware store, purchase a new drain and replace it on my own. I was so proud that I didn’t have to call a Plumber and pay him to rescue me.
Can’t wait for the next few classes and see what else I can learn to do on my own.
